SEP. 28-30: SWERVE FESTIVAL - FILM/ART/MUSIC/PARTIES AT BARNSDALL, ECHOPLEX

The 1st annual SWERVE festival has come to LA - or, to be more specific, the Silverlake area of LA. We love the 3D image in their poster (below), and it IS in ultrahip Silverlake, so we know this will be a cool fest. Other proof of coolness: bands like DeVotchKa and We Are Scientists, films that include a Joy Division doc, and even the chance to design your own skateboard deck (Createaskate). Venues: Barnsdall Art Park (art and design), Vista Theatre (film), and the Echoplex (music).
